Amnesty International seeing greater EU effort in fight against trafficking in women and young girls to Kosovo

Brussels, 06/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - Amnesty International is calling on the European Union to increase its legal and financial support in the fight against trafficking in women and young girls to Kosovo. In a report published on Thursday, the organisation denounced the trafficking in women to work as prostitutes in Kosovo, as well as in similar trafficking to Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria and the Ukraine and sent on to other European Union countries (Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom) via...
