06/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - By following the recommendations of Giuseppe Gargani (Forza Italia), the President of the Legal Committee, who said that "everything is in order", the European Parliament proceeded on Wednesday to a verification of the powers of the 162 new MEPs from the ten new Member States. Under article 7 of the EP Regulations, the report of the competent committee is based on the official communication, by each Member State, of all of its electoral results.
