Brussels, 06/05/2004 (Agence Europe) - The World Customs Organisation (WCO) and Interpol are hosting the First Global Congress on Combating Counterfeiting. This will take place in WCO Headquarters Brussels on 25-26 May. This international event is aimed at highlighting the problem of counterfeiting and bringing all concerned parties together to develop a comprehensive strategy to tackle the problem at the national, regional and global level. Representatives from law enforcement agencies, business leaders, the public and private sectors will attend. Among the participants are the World Intellectual Property Organisation, the Global Business Alliance Against Counterfeiting, the Alliance Against Counterfeiting, the International Trademark Association and the International Security Management Association.
