ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) agri-foods

French company DANONE will be selling off its controlling stake in South America to the Argentine company, ARCOR. The two partners will therefore be creating a joint venture to do this. DANONE will hold 49% of the capital in the new venture. Representing more than EUR 250 million, with an output of 255,000 tonnes, the new business will be "the biscuit leader in south America".
