Updating the BPEGs, Commission reaffirms 2003 employment growth strategy also appropriate for acceding countries - employment recommendations for 2004

Brussels, 07/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - Adopting the first update of the Broad Economic Policy Guidelines (BPEG) on 7 April, the Commission has reaffirmed the economic policy strategy adopted by the European Council last June in Thessalonica, a strategy that it considers also appropriate for the acceding countries.
