Portugal faces legal action over non-application of Euratom requirements

Brussels, 31/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - Further to a verification carried out by its services, the Commission has decided to send a reasoned opinion to Portugal, for failure to respect its obligations in force under several provisions of the Euratom Treaty and the directive on basic safety standards.
