31/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European Commission approved plans of British port operator, P&O, and Dutch maritime company Royal Nedlloyd to reorganise their joint activities in the field of container transport, within P&O Nedlloyd (PONL). The operation will consist of the acquisition by Royal Nedlloyd of the 50% share held by P&O in PONL. The Commission believes that the transaction will have no negative impact of competition in the market in question.
