Brussels, 10/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has called on all countries covered by the "neighbourhood" policy to put off the consultation begun of elaborating national action plans, by a "few weeks". Mr Verheugen's spokesperson indicated that this was no a "pause" and would allow for the dialogue between the Commission, council and Member States "to be intensified". EUROPE will be returning to this issue.
