Swedish producer of heavy goods vehicles VOLVO has begun the sell off of 31.9% of the capital of its Swedish competitor SCANIA on the stock market. The deal will involve a sum of between EUR 1.62 bn and EUR 1.63 bn. VOLVO did not receive the European Commission's approval for buying up SCANIA and has been compelled to sell 45.5% of its shares in this concern before 23 April.
