Prodi-Schröder meeting on Thursday - Joschka Fischer, no longer in favour of vanguard, says agreement should be reached by June

Brussels, 01/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - A spokesman for the German government announced last Friday that Chancellor Schröder would be meeting the president of the European Commission, Romano Prodi, on 4 March in Berlin mainly to discuss the prospect of adopting the European Constitution. (Spokesman Thomas Steg pointed out that Gerhard Schröder and Romano Prodi would also discuss the financial outlook of European industrial policy).
