Brussels, 03/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - Erkki Liikanen had already discreetly suggested last week that they would be embarking on a series of actions to combat unsolicited commercial communications by e-mail, otherwise known as 'spam' . 80% of which comes from outside the EU and if this is not taken into consideration the actions will not prove effective (EUROPE 27 AND 28 January p 1 and p 12).
