Strasbourg, 18/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - Commission President, Romano Prodi presented the budgetary control committee at the European Parliament on Tuesday with a "Eurostat action plan", based on the implementation of a warning system and a reduction in OLAF's (the Anti-fraud Office) tasks. This plan still left a lot out for MEPs, who would have liked to see the political responsibility of the Commission being taken more into account.
