Three opposition parties to present a united list for European elections - Which political grouping at the next EP?

Brussels, 17/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - The assemblies of three opposition parties in Italy - Democratici di sinistra, which are part of the Socialist group at the EP, Margherita and i Socialisti democratici italiani, which are part of the Liberal group - decided on Saturday to present a united list for the June 2004 European elections (the decision was virtually unanimous for Margherita and the SDI, with a 78% yes vote for the DS).
