Full application of the Aarhus Convention in the EU would be a milestone in strengthening environmental democracy

Brussels, 10/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - With the three legislative proposals it recently submitted to the European Parliament and Council towards the full application of the Aarhus Convention in EU law (see EUROPE of 28 October, p.8), the European Commission aims to encourage EU citizens's involvement in envrionmental matters.
