Brussels, 07/11/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission's inquiry on State aid granted to Alstom will be published in the Official Journal of Saturday 8 November, which will provide third parties with the possibility to make their opinions known. They will have a month to give their opinion and their responses will then be forwarded to the French authorities. The text will give the history of the situation, and a specific presentation of the kind of State intervention and will set out the questions posed by the Commission in this respect. According to AFP, which cites a source familiar with the dossier, the French authorities should fine-tune their argument on aid to Alstom mid-November in a new 200-page communication that they will send to the Commission.
