23/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The first estimate for euro-zone trade with the rest of the world published by Eurostat on Monday in August went down by half compared to the level registered in July. The fall is mainly due to a drop in exports. The trade surplus in the Euro zone according to seasonally adjusted figures was a 6.5 billion euro surplus. The July 20032 balance was +13.3 bn, with +8.7 bn in August 2002.
