Brussels, 23/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission will meet next Wednesday for a seminar on the theme of financial perspectives. It's the first time that Commissioners will have plans worked out on this subject but these will not be made public, indicated Elisabeth Werner, spokesperson for the Commissioner for the budget, Michaele Schreyer. She also underlined that the objective of the meeting would be strengthen the structure of the communication on financial perspectives expected for mid-November. Reijo Kemppinen, President Prodi's spokesperson, indicated that there was consensus at the Commission for an overall correction mechanism.
