Mario Segni's "Patto" proposes referendum on day when European elections are held

Brussels, 20/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - MEP Mario Segni (UEN) has proposed with other members of the "Patto-Partito dei liberalidemocratici" the organisation in Italy of a referendum on the future European Constitution, the same day as European elections are held in June 2004 . "Citizens must make decisive choices. The European Constitution will change the history of our peoples, and it is only right that citizens should make this choice", Mr Segni said in a press release.
