Brussels, 20/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - "The European Union gets good rankings, except Italy and Spain", in the yearly "Reporters without Borders" rankings on world press freedom. Of the acceding countries, Cyprus gets the distinction of the lowest ranking in Europe, 83rd position.

"For the second year in a row, Italy is lower down (53rd) than the other countries of the European Union", said the organisation for the defence of press freedom, which stresses that "Silvio Berlusconi's conflict...
