Five Member States caught out on transposition of Directive on vocational qualifications

Brussels, 20/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has decided to send reasoned opinions to five Member States (Italy, United Kingdom, France, Ireland, Luxembourg) as they have failed to inform the Commission, by deadline of 1 January 2003, of measures taken to transpose Directive 2001/19 into their national legislation. This text simplifies updating procedures of list of diplomas, certificates and other qualifications to be recognised automatically by the Member States (see EUROPE of 1...
