Portugal satisfied with conclusions on milk production in Azores

Brussels, 20/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - Portugal is satisfied with the conclusions of the European Council, which were adopted in Brussels last Friday, and which support the European Commission's proposal (dated 15 October) to prorogue specific measures on by dairy production in the Azores region. Portugal feels vindicated by this proposal, because as of 2005/2006, it will obtain an increase by 50,000 tonnes in the milk quota of the Azores (as agreed as part of the CAP reform of last June),...
