Border control and the idea of quotas for legal immigration to be the main issues discussed at Informal Council on 12 and 13 September

Brussels, 02/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - Immigration will be the main issue under discussion at the Informal Council on Justice and Home Affairs scheduled for 12 and 13 September in Rome, with emphasis on two subjects: the idea of quotas for legal immigration and border protection.

Relations with third countries in field of immigration: Italy hopes to introduce the question of quotas into the European debate, by presenting them as an advantage granted to countries that accept re-entry...
