UNICE urges Adolfo Urso to ensure close cooperation between Member States, Commission and Parliament in order to defend the EU's interests in Cancun

Brussels, 25/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - On 17 July, a joint high level UNICE - Confindustria delegation met Italian vice-minister for production, Adolfo Urso, to discuss the Doha Development Programme (launched in Doha in November 2001). European employers urged Urso, who will be representing the Presidency of the Council at the WTO's ministerial summit in Cancun (Mexico) on 10-14 September 2003, to ensure close cooperation in Cancun between Member States, the Commission and Parliament.
