24/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has issued a call for tender regarding projects for the integration of refugees. Four million euros are available in 2003, each project being able to receive from EUR 100,000 to 500,000. The projects may cover trans-national networks, the exchange of information and best practice, raising awareness of integration and aid for innovative projects. Private or public companies are eligible, as are non-government organisations, national, regional and local authorities and strictly non-profit making organisations. Proposals must be submitted by 29 August 2003.
