Commission launches infringement proceedings against Ireland and Austria over failure to fully transpose integrated pollution control and prevention directive

Brussels, 22/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the European Commission decided to pursue infringement proceedings against Ireland and Austria. The Commission decided to refer Austria to the European Court of Justice because Austrian law fails to fully transpose specific EU legislation on integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC).
