Brussels, 22/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the Agriculture/Fisheries Council adopted conclusions on employment in rural areas in which it calls on the European Commission to take into account the specific characteristics of the primary sector when pursuing the employment goals fixed by the European Council in Lisbon in 2000, later to be reaffirmed by the European Council of Stockholm in 2001 and by that in Barcelona in 2002.
