Commission takes action to ensure compliance with ECJ judgements in Italy, Spain and Ireland on vocational qualifications

Brussels, 18/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has just sent a warning to Italy, Spain and Ireland to comply with judgements of the European Court of Justice with regard to mutual recognition of their qualifications. If Member States do not implement judgements of the Court, the Commission may ask the Court to impose a penalty payment on them.

The Commission has decided to send Italy a letter of formal notice for its failure to comply with the judgement of the Court of 21...
