Brussels, 18/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Union and Switzerland re-opened the free movement dossier in Brussels on Wednesday, to adapt to the Union's enlargement to ten new Member States. The 1999 agreement allows the Swiss to settle freely in the Union, but allows Switzerland to impose quotas until 2007, and to take safeguard measures until 2014 in case of a mass influx of workers from the EU.
