Three institutions to hold low-key meeting on Wednesday to prepare for Council's first reading of draft 2004 budget

Brussels, 30/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - Three institutions (the Council, European Parliament and European Commission) will be meeting in Strasbourg on Wednesday to prepare for what is expected to be a smooth first reading (on 16 July) of the draft 2004 budget by EU finance ministers. Coreper will be assessing the budget on 10 July in the light of the Council's Budget Committee discussions on 10 July.
