Paris / Brussels, 30/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - Javier Solana said on Monday that he was very pleased with the decision of the Palestinian militant groups to declare a ceasefire and with the withdrawal that has begun of Israeli troops from Gaza. In Mr Solana's view - expressed during a speech that he gave in Paris at the Security Studies Institute of the EU (to which we shall return) - this provides an opportunity to begin implementing the Roadmap.
