Environment Committee calls for committee of inquiry into Prestige disaster

Brussels, 17/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's Committee on the Environment voted by a slim majority (28 votes to 26 and 1 abstention) for a committee of inquiry, or temporary committee, to be set up by the Parliament in order to elucidate the causes of the Prestige oil tanker disaster.
