ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) energy

Italian group ENEL is going to buy up 80% of UFEE, the renewable energy subsidiary of its Spanish counterpart UNION FENOSA, as well as a 50% stake in a plant that is currently being built. The sum for these two transactions is EUR 336.5 million. The result of these two sales will enable UNION FENOSA to reduce its debt by EUR 500 million.
