Commission prepares to refuse sending Lagaardère-Vivendi dossier to French authorities

Brussels, 28/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is likely to refuse to send the French authorities the dossier of the purchase of the non-American publishing division of Vivendi Universal by Lagardère, indicates sources working closely to the dossier on Wednesday. France is reputedly in favour of the merger and on 14 May requested the Commission to make the dossier available to the national authorities, while the Commission focused on the Belgian and Luxembourg aspects of the...
