Commission will present proposal for simplification for VAT compliance across borders

Brussels, 26/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has launched an open consultation concerning whether Member States' VAT compliance requirements should be harmonised and whether traders doing business across frontiers should be allowed a single place of compliance for VAT purposes. The consultation is open for comments until the end of August 2003. is based on a study carried out on behalf of the Commission that presents a comprehensive overview of VAT compliance obligations...
