Brussels, 26/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - Two directives aimed at improving passenger ship safety in national and international waters were published in Official Journal L123 of 17 May 2003: a directive of 14 April 2003 on specific stability requirements for ro-ro passenger ships, and a directive of 14 April 2003 amending Council Directive 98/18/EC on safety rules and standards for passenger ships (Europe, 27th March, p.17). These two directives entered into force on their day of publication.
