Brussels, 12/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission announced on Monday that is was getting ready to take measures banning the export of eggs and poultry from North Rhine-Westphalia, after the discovery last Friday of a case of avian influenza in the German Land. "The measures in questions prohibit all poultry and hatching eggs from being exported from North Rhine-Westphalia to other Länder, Member States or third countries", said a spokesperson.
