12/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - Michel Gaudet, former legal advisor to the High Authority of the ECSC in 1952, then Director General of the European Executives' Legal Services in 1958 and Director General of the European Commission's Legal Service in 1967, has died in Paris. He was a "great civil servant" in France, being Director of the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for Finance and Economic Affairs after the Second World War.
