Brussels, 07/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - Meeting informally on 6 May in Agia Pelagia (Crete) under the chairmanship of the Greek Development Minister, Akis Tsohatzopoulos, the Ministers for Tourism of the enlarged European Union agreed to call for the role of the tourist economy in the EU to be recognised, as well as for a guarantee that it will be linked to development policies in the future Treaty.
