Extension to 16 May for measures to fight against avian influenza in Netherlands and Belgium

Brussels, 07/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health approved a Commission proposals to extend Community measures currently in force in the fight against the spread of avian influenza in the Netherlands and Belgium to 16 May. These measures (ban on these countries exporting live poultry, hatching eggs and fresh unprocessed poultry manure or litter which also applies (with some derogations) to transport live poultry and hatching eggs...
