110 million pounds sterling loan to fund technical update of UK's A1 motorway

Luxembourg, 06/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - Work to ease traffic congestion and improve road safety on the A1 motorway in Yorkshire will benefit from a loan of 110 million pounds sterling (166 million euros) from the European Investment Bank. The EIB's contribution will be financed via a bond issue, linked to the British retail price index.
