EU will send observers to Parliamentary, Presidential and States' Elections in Nigeria in April and May

Brussels, 06/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - In response to an official invitation by the Nigerian authorities, the EU will deploy an Election Observation Mission to Nigeria, for the Parliamentary elections (12 April), Presidential (19 April) and States' Elections (19 April and 3 May).

Max van den Berg, MEP, Vice Chairman of the EP Committee on Development and Co-operation will head this mission starting on 11 March with the arrival of a Core Team of 10 experts in Abuja. Soon after 36 Long-Term...
