06/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday Research Commissioner Philippe Busquin outlined the results of a Eurobarometer poll on energy. Those polled fully support the development of renewable energy and are particularly concerned about climate change and nuclear issues (security and managing waste). Citizens appear to underestimate the role of transport in increasing energy consumption. Europe will return to this survey in more detail.
