More loans to fight against poverty-linked diseases

Brussels, 06/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - By adopting its annual political strategy document on Wednesday (see EUROPE yesterday p 8), the European Commission has decided to increase loans for health in developing countries. It has therefore given a favourable response to the requests by the European Parliament during the adoption at the beginning of the year of the reports of Anders Wijkman (EPP-ED, Sweden) and Ulla Sandbaek (EDD, Denmark).
