Advocate General Geelhoed believes a Member State may refuse to allow the foreign spouse of an EU national from entering its territory for 'imperious national interest" reasons

Luxembourg, 05/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - Advocate General Geelhoed has given his conclusions in a case relating to Hacene Akrich. He considers a Member State has the right to refuse entry to its territory for a foreign spouse of one of its nationals in accordance with its legislation on immigration.
