Luxembourg, 05/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - During his visit to Italy last week, the President of the EIB, Philippe Maystadt, indicated that the total volume of loans allocated by the bank to Italy in 2002 rose to EUR 6 billion (+ 11%), an unprecedented figure. Main sector to benefit was that of infrastructure, where EIB loans more than doubled to settle at EUR 2.1 billion.
