ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) privatisation

- Poland: the two main steel groups in the world ARCELOR and the LNM GROUP have declared that they have put in offers for PHS - POLSKIE HUTY STALI, the main steel producer in Poland, which ahs national market share of 70% and is currently being privatised. Details about the offers have not been revealed but "a minority stake is involved" indicated ARCELOR. The deadline for putting in offers has been set at 10 February.
