Poul Nielson in Southern Africa - Firm denials of US allegations over American GMOs rejected by Zambia

Brussels, 22/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - Poul Nielson, European Commissioner for development policy and humanitarian aid, is off to Southern Africa on 23 January for an official visit to Zambia (23-24 January), Angola (25.28 January) and South Africa (29 January). In these three countries he will conclude co-operation strategies, have bilateral discussions with the highest authorities and examine implementation of Commission-funded programmes.
