GENERAL NEWS / (eu) eu/state aid

22/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has given the go-ahead to a rescue package of EUR 50 million to German operator, Mobilcom but will also carry out a detailed investigation of additional aid of EUR 112 million. It also gave the green light to a British system that allows for an exemption in stamp duties in deprived zone. EUROPE will be returning to this issue.
