Reviewing method of calculating GDP in 2005

Brussels, 15/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - The method of calculating the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the EU will be reviewed in 2005, it was announced on Wednesday by Gerassimos Thomas, spokesman for Pedro Solbes. He pointed out that the current method of calculation is based on 1995 prices and that the new method would be based on prices during the previous tax period.
