EUR 17 million in aid to different countries of Asia, Central America and Africa

Brussels, 15/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission recently decided to grant humanitarian aid to various countries for a total of around EUR 17 million from the budget of ECHO (European Community's Humanitarian Office). The financial aid and the destination of the funds for projects implemented by ECHO partners on the ground are as follows:

Disaster preparedness: EUR 6.36 million will go to help populations living in South East Asia (Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Philippines,...
